Welcome to the OpenEZX wiki! This is a collaborative effort to collect information about Motorola's EZX GSM phone platform. Note that OpenEZX is about hardware and kernel level work. For userland, we rely on the freesmartphone.org project. Getting started: All you need to know to boot an OpenEZX kernel for the first time (nothing needs to be flashed on the phones). The project targets are mainly the Motorola's phones: E680, A780, A1200, A910, Rokr E2, Rokr E6 and A1600. Devices list: some will be –possibly– added in the future, depending on our support, and, of course their hardware. You may want to ask for support, or contact the team, either on:
How to connect an external 3.0V - 4.0V DC power source, e.g 3 x 1.2V NiMh Batteries, directly to the battery pins inside the A780. (ugly hack :-) ) Researchs on Motorola's software related to the 2.6 linux port. |
